"If you're planning a celebration or simply want to enjoy Cornwall’s finest food from the comfort of your holiday cottage or home, George, the creator behind Perthyans, is everything you could wish for in a private dining experience.

When our much-loved Debbie retired, we wanted to mark the moment with something truly memorable. From the very first conversation, George put us at ease. He was warm, professional, and really took the time to understand what we wanted. Having already admired his work with some of our favourite Falmouth restaurants, we had high hopes – but he exceeded them in every way.

The entire experience felt effortless and thoughtfully tailored. George’s calm approach, impeccable attention to detail, and deep knowledge of local, seasonal produce made for a standout evening. He accommodated dietary needs with flair, never compromising on flavour or presentation.

From the refreshing rhubarb spritz to the pillowy homemade focaccia, every course was a delight. A beautifully cooked local fish dish followed, then the evening ended on a high with a rich vegan chocolate torte that left us all speechless.

We can’t recommend George highly enough – and we do, to every guest who asks about private catering. His food is exceptional, and the whole experience is personal, joyful, and truly special"

"George is an exceptional chef. The dining event  on my 40th, from the menu design, time taken to inform me about where the ingredients were sourced to coming over to review the kitchen and cooking set up the day before really made the birthday lunch run smoothly.

Everything felt seamless and Geroge was very accommodating to everyone's dietary needs.

Fianlly, the food itself. The most delicious seafood, an exceptional set of summer vegetables and salads and oh that anchovies dip!

"George was super-patient (as in the name of his company!) to get the menu right. He even included vegan haggis as part of my Scottish roots! The food was delicious, and set out beautifully. So many guests commented how good it was - and as I am veggie, it was biased to vegetarian and vegan food, but the committed meat eaters were going back for more and had laden plates! Booking you for our 35th wedding anniversary in 2027!"

" We stayed at Seahorses for my wife's 60th birthday weekend with a group of friends and family, and George cooked a superb meal for us as part of the celebration. Leading up to the weekend, we discussed menu options and dietary requirements, and George could not have been more helpful and accommodating, to make sure that everyone was taken care of. On the day, George's presence in the kitchen preparing the meal and setting the table added a touch of theatre to the evening while we all chatted and laughed together. The meal itself was absolutely delicious and lived up to everyone's expectations. It is a nice touch that George uses local suppliers and ingredients, and this adds authenticity to his work. A huge thanks to George for helping to make the weekend a truly memorable one"
